News > Revolution: connecting climate change and music – FREE educational event
A free educational even supported by the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading, the Royal Meteorological Society and the Reading Climate Change Partnership is being held at Reading Town Hall on Saturday 17th January, 3.00-5.00pm.
Find out how APO Young Composers Award winner Jenni Pinnock has connected the scientific and social issues associated with climate change through a new piece for orchestra, complete with interactive talks from climate change scientists and an open rehearsal with the orchestra, composer and conductor.
Anyone intrigued by science, politics, culture or the arts will find the event interesting, and we’re hoping that it will be particularly relevant to GCSE and A level students of relevant subjects. Please note that children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
