Cristobal Drags 'Summer' Back for the Start of Autumn

Following a mostly cool August, temperatures are expected to reach the mid-twenties this week as ex-Hurricane Cristobal drags warm air in from the continent as we head into the start of autumn.

Cristobal is forecast to move northwards towards Iceland, staying northwest of the UK. However, initially it will bring stronger winds to northwestern parts of Scotland and rain to the UK on Monday 1st September 2014. High pressure will then build to the south and over the UK bringing settled conditions from Tuesday onwards, particularly across southern parts.
