Channel 4 seeks weather presenter

Thursday 23rd Jun 2011 by theWeather Club

Could you be the face of the weather? This is the question Channel 4 will be asking next month, should you be minded to apply for their first ever opening for a weather forecast  presenter.

Created as part of the channel's well-known ITN newsroom service, the new role will encompass both presenting the weather live on television and updating the website with new forecasts and interesting features. Each forecast will be produced by you from the channels' own weather data provider – so you will have to work with automated graphics as well as write and present content.

Even more exciting is the potential to present factual weather programming for Channel 4, should space (and your skills) permit.

All they ask is that you be a fluent and confident live broadcaster, an intelligent and memorable character, and possess a journalist's curiosity for the unexpected.

To apply please send your CV and show-reel to jan.wood@itn.co.uk. And don't worry: this is not the latest premise for a reality television show.
